Overview
Award winning Tommies Childcare knew they needed to rebrand mainly because they were on an acquisition trail and they felt their brand identity no longer reflected who they were and the business growth plans they had.
The Solution
We worked very closely with the three directors of Tommies Childcare with fun exercises to reveal their vision, mission, values and purpose, ideal audience, brand personality, competitors, value proposition, messaging and tone of voice. From here, we worked hard behind the scenes to create their brand strategy which they loved and signed off to go to the creative stage.
We then moved on to create their new logo in line with the strategic work we’d done together, presenting them with initial concepts which were developed and the final logo was chosen. The next stage was creating the overall brand identity working on different marketing collateral to show how it would look.
Now it was time for the brand guidelines to ensure consistency of messaging and look and feel when used by different members of the team.
The final large part of this project was to design and build a large multi-nursery website that showcased the new branding and you can see it here.
The Result
The result was an impressive appreciation of the new brand internally from all employees along with an increase in revenue of £105,000 in just 12 months. In addition they now hav a brand identity that reflects who they are and differentiates them from their competitors.
The brand identity that BeSmart created has given us a tangible representation of the organisation we believe ourselves to be. Over the last three years we have been using this design set, we have noticed a positive shift in how families and other organisations in the childcare sector look at Tommies Childcare, and our nurseries are busier than they have ever been in our 25-year history. Parents and people we network with regularly comment on the look and feel of our brand; they say we look professional and trustworthy, which is something we believe is vital in our sector.
